Captivated by the stunning Nilgiris landscape, he promptly purchased the English doctor's house without hesitation. Over the years, the owner's children cherished the home, preserving its memories through renovations and additions. Today, you can transport yourself to a fairytale at Haiwatha, a 150-year-old English bungalow, restored to luxury by SPASM Design. Tucked away in the quieter part of the Nilgiris, it offers stunning views of the UNESCO World Heritage Blue Mountain Railway and a cascading brook that flows right by its side. The Wedgewood-blue 4-bedroom main house and 2-bedroom carriage house evoke memories of simpler times with an Enid Blyton-esque charm.
