Country chic meets industrial ruggedness in this hotel
When was the last time you saw a uber luxurious barn? Well, Farmhouse Inn, located in the iconic Russian River Valley, just an hour away from San Francisco, California, is a bed-and-breakfast fit for royals. Originally a farmhouse built in 1873, the restored family-owned luxury boutique hotel now has 25 rooms, a Michelin starred restaurant and a spa.
A classic countryside home with maximal importance to comfort, this hotel bravely took to white as their main colour. With several shades of white for canvas, decorating a space becomes easier. Dramatic shapes, oversized furniture and woody tones not only stand out but also add warmth. Country chic in its decor style, Farmhouse Inn is also contemporary with a tinge of industrial.
The rooms are fitted with distressed finish four poster beds, cloud-like linen, cosy armchairs to sink in and marbled bathrooms. Adding elements of edgy industrial chic are riveted tables, lantern style lamps and metal buckets that hold everything from face towels to flowers.
It’s a place where sliding barn doors, practical sofa slipcovers, old-school door mouldings and faux tree bark stools co-exist with jetting tubs, saunas and fireplaces. Run by siblings, Catherine and Joe Bartolomei, Farmhouse Inn makes a case for homely comfort in the lap of luxury... all for the sake of pure relaxation.
